Collapsed at the Pump Panel DAVID CRENSHAW, A LONG-TIME VOLUNTEER firefighter and former fire chief died suddenly Monday morning at the scene of an auto wreck in Anderson County, South Carolina. Crenshaw had driven a Pendleton Fire Department engine to the crash scene at 6:30 am Eastern and was found collapsed at the pump panel, apparently unwitnessed

All Because of One Light Bulb A STRIP MALL IN KITSAP COUNTY, WASHINGTON, lost six businesses to a fire Sunday afternoon. The 3-alarm blaze in Silverdale started in a Tanning Salon and has been tentatively traced back to a bulb in one of the tanning beds. KING-TV The alarm was dispatched at 2:15 pm Pacific and the first units found a working fire in the shopping center that had already, or soon after, spread into the common attic of the unsprinklered building.

Ambulance Fire in Carolina

Heavy Damages A WAKE COUNTY EMS AMBULANCE caught fire inside the ambulance station in Raleigh, North Carolina, Thursday afternoon. The unit had just returned from a call and been parked in the bay for a few minutes before the fire broke out in the engine comparment. The 1-yr.-old ambulance was destroyed and the dedicated EMS station was heavily damaged when the fire extended into the ceiling.

Embezzling Brothers Sentenced

Pleaded Guilty Last Month RICHARD AND RANDALL CARR, BROTHERS AND FORMER paid-on-call firefighters in Mahoning County, Ohio, were sentenced yesterday for stealing money from the Beaver Township Fire Department after pleading guilty to felony theft last month (See Firegeezer video report HERE ). Following an audit, it was found that they had been backdating time sheets to indicate that they had been responding to incidents, yet never showing up at the scene
