The problem with dpf and regen has come to our attention, after a record number of breakdowns of our fire equipment. My committee as just voted to amend San Diego's federal legislative agenda to convince the EPA to exempt emergency vehicles from new diesel emission standards. I urge every urban fire department and city council in the United States to do the same. If construction workers get exemptions why not firefighters. Please spread the word and help us get results before lives are lost and property is destroyed because of equipment failure. Thank you for supporting this important effort.
