A firefighter is hospitalized after an injury on the job. Fire crews said a fire broke out Monday evening at a home in the 6800 block of Westin Ridge Road in Green Township. Firefighters said flames from the two-alarm fire went up through the walls of the home and into the first and second floors. One firefighter fell through the second floor into the garage while fighting the flames, commanders said. News 5 photographers said the firefighter was seen standing after the incident, but was taken to University Hospital with a neck brace as a precaution.
